 Anyone have articles on synthesis of Muscimol?

I'm trying to work out how to synthesize muscimol, it's not exactly the most complicated chemical out there, but my organic chem is a distant foggy memory. I'm looking to synthesize a batch, but I need some directions, and preferably a cheap starting material with a minimal amount of steps.
The only article I can find is $30 which is not worth it. Any ideas? The wiki page on it with its chemical makeup etc is here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscimol
Any help would be appreciated, if you can buy it online somewhere that would be great, but unlikely haha!

Without investigating too far, I would say that compound would take between 5-7 steps to synthesize (not including work-up and chromatography).
How exactly do you intend to synthesize that compound without knowing where to look for mechanisms for yourself?
PS: I would bet that the pendant hydroxyl would require protecting during reduction which may complicate your life depending on the scheme used

I would ask in the chemistry forum. There is also a thread there for journal article requests. Many people there (including me) have journal service access to get papers for free.

I believe a synthesis was detailed in Michael Valentine Smith's "Psychedelic Chemistry"...
