 Ever die in your dream??

I often had dreams as a kid where I was falling from high places and inevitably I would wake up before I hit the ground. Thats not what I mean here though...
I had a dream a couple years ago that was so vivid, I can see it as I type. I was driving with some friends along some random twisty highway in the mountains. We were partying in my dream, although I wasnt impaired as I was driving. Eventually we went flying off the road into what was a certain death fall of thousands of feet. There was an immediete "OH SHIT! WERE ALL GONNA DIE!" and I was very scared. The fall seemed like it was taking forever, or in slo mo perhaps. During the incredibly long fall I came to accept my fate, and relinquished all fear.
Just as I stopped fearing my fate, my view switched from 1st to 3rd( I think) person view. Where I was watching the car falling, and crashing into the ground. At that moment I realized that I had just died. I saw it happen. I know it sounds cheesy, but I saw a "spirit" or "soul" floating out of the car and towards the heavens. I knew it was mine. The weird thing is, I dont necessarily believe in heaven/hell, at least not in the sense that your body goes there when you die. But it seems like thats what I saw.
There was no doubt that it was my spirit floating.
For some reason I was completely emotionless, indifferent. It is a hard state to describe, I went from being terrified to a feeling of nothingness, peace...
That dream is now what I will always imagine death will be like, until I face it again. The most vivid feeling of all is when I woke up, I was relieved! It was a good feeling to not fear death anymore.
Although I cant say that I dont fear death at all anymore, I am much more ready to face it like a man now.
It has literally been a life changing event for me, even though I was sleeping the whole time! I have only told 2 people about this experience, for some reason I feel that nobody would understand. Whether you do or do not, let me know what you think...Have you ever seen yourself die in a dream? I'd love to hear what you guys think.

I've died in my dreams... I've been perceptions of my dreams and I've been blind in my dreams... dreams are so indigenous that they impossible to comprehend for me.

I had this one dream for about 5 days in a row when I was younger. It's kind of a long dream but at the very end I am decapitated. My head stays aware long enough to realize what has happened. The only changes in the dream from night to night was that in the subsequent dreams it all seemed familiar but I couldn't place it until it was too late.
Kept me from sleeping for a little while.

this kid like 3 or 4 yrs younger than me that livied in the apt building across the lot had a dream he died and then later that week his dad was letting him drive the car with his learners permit and he ran off the highway on ramp and he died. kinda creepy i always thought.
personaly ive had the falling dreams where u wake right before you hit but ive never actually died in a dream.

on another similar note, i dreamed my aunt died the night she did. she was terminally ill though and we knew she would die sometime that week.

I had a dream that I was in a car with my buddy and he hit another head on, my head hit the dash and that was it.
Another when i was younger that I was eaten by a wolf.
I frequently have dreams like this while semi lucid and just black out and fall into another dream.

I've had several dreams about my untimely death. It tends to be pretty boring mostly, although a few times it shook me up a bit. I typically drown or get shot by someone I don't know, or something. I always wake up alive but confused.

When I was younger I had a few dreams in which I'd fall off of a building, hundreds of feet. I always woke up sweating and scared shitless the moment I'd hit the ground.

I had a dream I was in the back seat of my moms car. Mom in driver seat and ex g/f in passenger. We were going off a bridge and the bridge was cutoff half way. We flew off, while we were flying towards the ground I knew I was gonna die. We hit and rolled countless times in which I felt death. Everything stopped like it was never even real. Only peace was felt, if you call a feeling of nothing peace...
I woke up (somewhat) and could not move at all, I felt myself out of my body and slowly lowering back down. Which was crazy. The dream shook me hard to the core, so I told my mom and g/f everything in detail. That day when we woke we had to go over a bridge to get to our destination, I was scared shitless and made her drive super slow. As I get to the top of the bridge, my best bud calls and tells me.... "dude, Aaron is dead..."
I'm already freaked about being on this bridge and I get that call... I ask "why? how?". My friend says "He hit a guardrail on his motorcycle and fell 50ft where he died"
Pretty fucked up, the dream & my friends death...

I had a dream that i got shot in the stomach and an ambulance came to get me. but the paramedics kept stopping and talking to random people. I ended up getting really pissed off at them and i just sort of drifted off and died.

I completely died in my dream, then woke up not able to move & my mind/soul (whatever you call it) not in my body.

I guess my feelings about having a dream like this is that death is not so bad. It was as if I got a slight glimpse of death and what lies beyond. I believe that there most definetely is "life" after death. Not necessarily reincarnation, or heaven, or even consciousness, but simply "being". As if to be disintegrated into a billion particles and being recycled into the whole system. I caught a glimpse of "becoming" pure energy. As wonderful as that sounds and as terrifying as death can seem, it was emotionless. Quiet. Serene. Peaceful. I love this life, but I now long for rebirth into infinity!

I've died often in dreams and always switch to third person right as it happens. I watch my corpse, and no "soul" comes out. Thank God. I'd hate to think my subconscious had gone all irrational on me.

I've had dreams where I was dying.Usually where I should already be dead..like my head was cut off and sewed back on..lol It's almost comical..I walk around and every one consoles me...or tries to pretend I'm not frankenstein.
I used to think i was dying during sleep paralysis..so sure i was having a heart attack or stroke..I struggled so hard at times it wouldnt be far fetched.

I got in a car accident and Ive been having dreams sense about the accident...though its always with different people and i never expect it. Also i had a dream where I got shanked in front of my friends as they watched lol

Oh I forgot I killed myself as a Samaria warrior after a lost battle. Dug a hole, put the butt of my sword in the ground and ran upon it right into my chest.
I didn't die in that dream but I woke up with what I thought was a heart attack... very weird shit these dreams.

A long time ago when I was perhaps 12 or 13 I had a really strange dream in which I died. I was in some kind of old wooden barn, the ones with two big open doors on each end, with maybe 20-30 other people who were strangers. Outside circling the barn was some kind of military helicopter. As a crowd we ran from one end to the other trying to get out only to have the helicopter circle around and hover high above whatever side we tried to escape from. This happened for a long time until at one point I must have stepped a bit too far out and away from the cloud. I was instantly cut in half from the helicopter's chain-gun fire, and my body fell so that I could still view the barn. There was no pain but I could feel the incredible force behind every bullet as it cut through me, but it was so quick it was almost instantaneous. I stayed in 1st person on the ground, couldn't move but continued watching everyone else repeat the running back and forth from one end to the other. Very strange.

I had a dream that someone was robing my little brother and I stepped out and kicked them down the stairs next to his door and they got up and stabbed me. I remember thinking it was weird I didn't feel it but I couldn't move anymore I fell to the floor and bled to death.
