 hydrocodone on drug screens

i always thought hydrocodone was one of the drugs tested for on a standard drug screen. but recently i have had 3 close friends who work with me pass a drug screen at work whilst taking hydrocodone heavily. the first one had a prescription for a bad back and took them like tic-tacs. he goes for a drug screen, doesn't inform them of his prescription and passes. now my other two friends have had the same experience.
so after some research on erowid i find that hydrocodone is not even on the NIDA 5. its on the next level of drug screens which aren't usually tested for by most companies. can this be for real or am i dreaming. i've been abstaining from all drugs all this time while i could have been popping hydros this whole time. and my wife has 1 refill left on her hydro-syrup. i think its time to go to the pharmacy. the link to this info is here.

that's true, but hydrocodone has been known to cause 'false,' positives on opiates anyway. you'll probably be fine though

This could also be due to the fact that the cutoff level is very high for hydrocodone.
The last test i took for the treatment center i was attending for opioid addiction had a tremendously high cutoff, and these were somewhere around 10 panel tests. I was also dabbling with vicodin throughout my rehab (yeah its fucked up but im just trying to answer your question) and i never once failed any tests for them.
I even admitted i had relapsed thinking for sure that i would test positive for hydrocodone.

why chance it? Take 3-4 days off from the drug and detox and then take the test.

because they are completely random. i have no clue when the next one will be. could be monday at 9:00 am or it could be 2 yrs from now. and when they come tell you it's time they literally walk you into the vehicle that hauls you to the test site. they never take their eyes off of you until you go into the restroom.
