I regrettably found out that a room-mate who I see only while vacationing in Hawaii has been shot while on tour in Iraq. Through his left arm, and with most gunshot wounds, they cause much pain, meaning lots of pain meds. He seems to have an unbelievable amount of hydrocodone and oxycodone bottles throughout the house, leading me to not worry about him running out. If he was paying for them on his own or through insurance I would be more hesitant, but it's all paid for by military.

I've got a big bottle the vet gave me for my dog, but he got better and didn't need them. Though I have no idea what mg dose they are and combine that with the fact that I've never taken hydrocodone before so they sit there in the med cabinet tempting and scaring the shit out of me all at the same time.

Meh, I see him with all his bandages and a god damn bullet wound I'd feel kind of dorky asking for some pain meds to get high. For some reason I'm just not as bothered taking without asking.

The problem is that if too many pills go missing then he might go to the doctor early for a refill. Then the doctor decides they disappeared so fast he must be abusing them and won't write another script.

I totally see where your coming from, but honestly were talking about a couple hundred pills here. Everywhere I look I see a half full bottle. Top of the fridge, bathroom, coffee table, desk, ect. I was thinking about this as my main concern. I'll prob just end up asking him, I'm sure he won't wind parting with a bottle or two.

so basically this is the question.......
Should I,.... steal from him, and take these highly pleasurable drugs,... because I only retain the ability to think about myself and my own needs....
Or,... should I be a decent human being and just ask for some drugs???

nothing pisses me off more than people just taking my things.
like my old roomies used to take the change out of my little coin bottle. not that I cared about change, but they just took it without asking, and while I wasn't home. If they would have asked I would have given it to them. I ended up having to hide my silver change and only kept pennies in the coin jar that was out.
anyway, be careful with lortabs and oxy. they're super addictive.
