my lucid dreaming fails, the minute i realise i'm dreaming i tend to wake myself up. And for some crap reason if i don't wake up immediately i persist on trying waking myself up till i do by saying shit like "wake up cunt, you're dreaming."
My subconscious does not like my conscious very much... it confuses the hell out of me.

I've always been fascinated by lucid dreaming. I don't have the determination to try and achieve it though. It seems to me like it would be one of the most amazing experiences ever, like a psychedelic trip that you could completely control.

I usually try to have an orgy with a bunch of hot chicks while lucid. Instead of trying to find the meaning of the universe LOL.

Every time i have the intention of lucid dreaming i fall into a deep sleep where i become one with everything, whenever i intend to go into deep sleep and become one with everything i lucid dream.

I dont understand this?

I haven't been able to control the dreams yet, just be aware im dreaming and feel out of control and freak out!!!

I had one of my first authentically lucid dreams since I was a kid a couple months back when I realized that the situation I was in was just too utterly ridiculous to be happening in reality.

What's always interested me is the relationship between lucid dreaming and enlightenment in waking life. If becoming lucid in your dream means that you're becoming aware of the illusion that is the dream, and becoming enlightened in waking life (through meditation or psycheelics) is essentially the same concept, then what if you were able to become lucid while dreaming, and then enter into a state of enlightenment?

Being awake in a dream, is much like being awake in this reality, ... only; one probably will know more than only one..

Yeah its hard to stay lucid for a while. I usually end up flying or having sex though. Hopefully I will get bored of that soon, there are way cooler things to do when there are no limits :-D

- Well, I lied, flying is pretty damn cool

Flying is awesome.

I've experienced serious flight control issues at times. Like not being able to stop or turn when I want to.

sometimes I jump reallllllly high, and then just fall back down, and I also had turning issues. Actually, sometimes I would just jump really high and then glide too.

I asked one of my dream characters how to fly, and they taught me pretty well. I flew into outer space in that dream

Lucid dreaming is just plain awesome.

But there is always this malevolant force driving me away from certain spots.

I've only had one lucid dream. I got to control all the aspects of it and everything but it was way to short. Fun, but short. I've been researching methods of making the experience possible for myself again, but I haven't really invested any time in testing their validity. Anyone know of a good method that works?

I cant really control my dreams too well. I have many times realized I am dreaming, but Ill either remain somehow trapped/at the whim of my dream, or everything will first become extremely vivid, and then immediately fade...

Its weird that realizing "i must be dreaming" doesn't necessarily bring any profound insight to my dream-self. Whats weird though, is it does affect my death mentality. I usually do realize that I am safe from death in my dreams.

I assume you guys use this understanding to fly all over the place, and do whatever you want. It seems like the logical conclusion. But I never actually use this mentality, even though it is usually present. Usually, I'll still be at the whim of my dream, and act accordingly; Only when I die, Im just like "O well, here we go again"

Well there are different levels of lucidity. Sometimes i know im in a dream, but the dream is controlling me. Other times, I know im in a dream, and I control the dream.

keep it in your mind before bed, that "if I[you] realise that I am dreaming, then I will have the control". Sometimes just having that initial thought in your head helps you become more lucid.

Wow!! what an intense thought.

Has anyone ever done a drug in their dream? I remember once doing a certain drug in a dream before I had tried it in real life. The rush I got from it in the dream was far greater than what i got from the actual drug.
