So I have a pilonidal cyst.

It is an abscess on the skin around my tailbone. It is extremely painful and I have never had anything like this before. Have any of you dealt with these and how did your surgery go? I have to go in at 8:30 am for surgery so they can lance it and drain the pus. Good news is they gave me hydrocodones to ease the pain.

Yep, I had this last year. They put me under and incised and drained it. Then they had to leave the wound open some and I had to have someone pack it with small guaze strip. It sucked, but I have not had an issue with it since and before it would flare up and hurt like fuck, die down for a while, then flare up again later and hurt worse each time it flared up. All in all, I'm damn glad I got the shit done.
