We have 9 categories and 10 players. 5 pitching categories, 4 batting categories.
Now, since there are ten of us, the way it works is that we are given points, 1-10, depending on our ranking in each category. If you are first in home runs, you get 10 in that category. If you have the lowest team ERA, you get 10 in that category. The highest score you can have is 10 x 9 = 90, a 10 in each category.
If you have the least HR's, you get 1 in that category. essentially season we are jockeying for position with one another...it's sort of like one big divisional race for the title, as opposed to head to head where you get a win based on 1 week of stats against someone else.

Each team gets a number from 12-144 relative to how well everyone else is doing. So what really needs to be managed besides moving players on and off of the bench, trades etc. Seems pretty simple.

Hmm no 12-144 is in a 12x12 league - 12 players, 12 categories. THat's the example they use. Read my above post for clarification on our particular scoring.
So you really just want to manage your lineup daily. You can get a crazy amount of info through the fantasy site. You can click on any player's name and if he has a history vs. the pitcher he is facing that night, it will tell you. You just want to play the best matchups you have, sometimes the best player on your team has a shittier matchup than the worst player and it's up to you who you play.
