Quentin was an excellent pickup for me. If you look at his last two years of part-time service I don't think this production level of his is a fluke but it still could turn out to be.
As a top prospect with the D-Backs in 2006 he played in 57 games, banging 9 HR's for 32 RBI, at a .253 clip.
Then the next year in 81 games he hit 5 HR's, less, but hit a comparable number of RBI's, with a low average.
Right now he's hitting around .300 and has already matched his career high with 9 HR's and almost matched his RBI totals from those years.

Well, that's a little bit extreme, obviously, but yeah, I think he can be a positive producer in BA, Runs, and RBI. In a little less than half a season last year he hit .332. He's no youngster but he fills two positions without embarrassment and is, I think, a quality back up, especially at SS.

They'll probably do it the next time the Yankees and Tigers have travel days that line up. A lot of games have been rained out today. I've lost half of my lineup. Oh and I  Carlos Beltran. 8 RBI in the past two days for me. Things are looking up for my team. Gagne and jason isringhausen lost their jobs while all of my closers are secure and sabathia and beltran are heating up. If I could have picked up one guy with a lot of steals that wouldn't zap my RBI lead I'd be in second place. Someone like Brandon Phillips or hanram. BTW, how did Zappa get both of those guys? Fucking ridiculous.

Corpas lost his job too.
I got Phillips(3) in the draft at 25, pretty much right where he was supposed to go and Ramirez in a trade with Liz. Reyes fell to me at 5 and I parlayed him(1) and Ortiz(2) into Henley(1) and D.Lee(6)(a major overachiever so far) and Peavy(2). I gave up Francis(18) in the deal as well. There really isn't anything odd there.

The season is 1/5th over and I've used 1/3rd of my moves. I'm going to take my chances riding Lee and Quentin for power, with Fukudome and Gomez being more of the speedster run-scoring types, as far as my OF position goes.
If anyone is looking for a power hitting 2nd baseman, I'd be open to trading Uggla for a power hitting first or third baseman.

I am glad that someone thought Cano was worth a spot on their roster. I waited and waited and he just wasnt worth it. Im not disappointed in trading him in for a 2B, SS in Ryan Theriot.
Thank god Chris Young finally had a quality start, now lets just see if the bullpen can hold it down and get me a much needed W

With Burnett, Bedard and Jurrjens all pitching for me today I'm hoping for a big day in K's, and hopefully one or two W's as well. I think it's entirely possible the three of them could rack up enough K's for me to surpass zappa in that category.

Well Jurrjens got me 5 K's though he melted down in the 5th inning and ended with a not so pretty ERA of 5.40. Burnett on the other hand has pitched 5 innings of 1-hit ball with six strikeouts so far and has me within 3 of zap's total. Nice.
