Perhaps you were screwed by the lawn mower.
> I estimate I could have gotten a couple of wet pounds out of this spot, but when I get there, its completely barricaded shut with signs saying "NO TRESPASSING, PRIVATE PROPERTY, MONITORED BY CCTV," all that bullshit.
They put those signs there so they don't have to hire any security guards.
Even if they really had CCTV, the guys watching it would be unlikely to send anyone out if you keep your attention focused on the lawn.
> Why is society so lame?
Because they are paid to be lame. Its called capitalism.
I know, and normally I wouldn't be so chicken, but I've done work on this site in the past, and the last thing I need is to be recognized and my boss getting a phone call. Maybe I'll just look for other spots that I'm not connected to.

Looks like subbs as long as the spore print is black. I wouldnt worry about the dogs. Wash them or make a tea out of them. All the subbs I found come out of horse or cow shit anyways! Nice pictures by the way

Found a few yesterday This time local for me so I dont have to drive 3 hrs lol but didnt find a lot. They look a bit different then the ones I was finding before, It seems diffent locations/substrate can give subbs slightly different appearances.

Man...those are some nice finds coolboarder. The spot Ive been checking looks like the same set up as the one you found, i went there yesterday and found nothing but a few inkies, birdsnest, and some of those jelly cup fungi that grow in the hay bales...Im not too worried because i dont expect the subb season to really explode here in the northeast (NJ) until mid may (any northeast hunters who can attest to this being true/false please let me know!) Im a bit skeptical about the trips anything produced by the spot might give me...its part of a municipal refuse dump (i.e. leafs dead trees etc...) i think the stable shaving/manure piles there are actually from the police mounted divisions horse stalls (ironic huh?); as I was hunting there yesterday i came across at least ten rotting animals-i guess they just throw road kill with the rest of the refuse...i realized that some sub-conscious connection between the subbs and rotting animals might surface when i use them.

I think the foes just pop up in the park/lawn type enviroments.................mostly. {EDIT} Some I missed yesterday.........burn baby burn...
Less than 20 hours later........I would approx estimate a 50 hour window from pinning to burnt up in the sun?
So how long after you pick from a spot like that do you go back to it Coolboarder.....?A day ,3 days...over a week ?
