k question time. i went back to my patch today and was thinking YES WARM DAY THEY MUST BE EVEN MORE RIPE only to find NONE. what was this? then i stepped on a black mushie. they were mostly burnt to crisps from the sun. so i found some that werent all the way dead, and picked a good bit.
since you dry mushrooms anyway, are these dead fried ones still good?

Man I found some good subbs yesterday. All from hay\horse crap. I noticed them growing in the grass growing out of the hay. They seemed to like that really well. Got about 8 oz fresh. Ate 2 oz fresh last night and grilled hard! I love these little mushrooms soo good. The first picture you can actually see blueing on the cap. One of my hot spots got over taken by sheep! I found subbs ripped out of the ground and everything else was eaten just the stems and ripped out mycillium! I took a picture of some stems you can see chewed! Unbelievable I guess sheep like to fry balls too. Enjoy the pics. I found a lot of interesting sun bleached caps in a huge group. Couldnt hardly tell they were subbs had to look really close. You can see in another picture how a cap was laying ontop of another cap and all the spores stained the cap black. 3rd one from the bottom I think are the deadly galerinas

I collected these today off a new sod lawn in San Diego County. I posted an ID request, and everyone is saying they're subbs. I'm waiting for the spore prints tho, and if they pass that test, next will be the taste test.
I actually spotted them earlier in the week at the site while working, and I wanted to grab them so fucking bad but I didn't want the super or my coworker to see. So I waited until the weekend and hoped like hell the super isn't a work Saturday kind of guy. I'm probably being overly cautious but I don't want to get shit-canned in this economy.
Anyway, assuming they're all subbs, do you guys think the shrooms in the big picture would be too much for one person? I'm looking for a strong level 3 or mild level 4, and I have a higher than average natural tolerance to psilocybin (1/8th of cubes is just starting to get me where I want to go).

These are about the same potency as cubes maybe a little less, so you need to have about 1-1.5 oz fresh or at lest 4 grams dry. If you dont have that much its still a nice trip very good body high.

Decided I would check out the local horse stables and actually found 2 subbs! So portland has subbs for sure. Got some good pictures. I also found 2 other larger mushrooms that look like sun faded subbs maybe but im not sure. Spore print is black, they were found on horse manure and hay next to a bunch of Panaeolus papilionaceus var. parvisporus. These didnt look the same and it almost looks like there was a dark ring like the subbs. What do you guys think. They are the last pictures.

These are from last week in the Bay Area. The sod was laid just a month before these popped up, so I guess the mycelium established itself at the sod farm.

Theres a lot of people that put subbs down, but I have to say, a subb trip has to be one of my favorite trips! The only down side ive noticed is these things will hit hard and fast, but the peak time seems to be a bit shorter than say cubes...

i dont know about you but i can fell the efect of a tea for example the moment iam take in it for me mushrooms are real fast to act, subb are special ,for me is like extasis , i fell eternal glory , or the felling only experience with paneolus and not with copelandia , copelandia are somehow more strong and more demanding. this one everything is fine, i have never now of bad trips on subbs , but i now there can be is just the felling of well being is strong.
all my best vibrations.
