yeah..im really starting to hate those things!! sorry man..i havent found any subbs yet either..found some younger ones today and the gills were spaced closer together than the foes i find..but it couldve just been where they were still small..im gonna spore print a few of the bigger ones and see....i have a feeling these people are feeding that new stuff to their horses cause i havent even seen a single foe in the horse pasture, but theyre everywhere in the cow pasture...thats the only thing i can come with

if theres any type of shrooms in a pasture then there is nothing in the feed too kill them, no fungicide.

true..maybe this pasture sucks...i am starting to find certain sections of the fields that are more abundant than others though...seems like the better grass..less weeds and shade tree combination...and usually the tree line...and i know weilii like sweet gum trees...and ive been findin sweet gum trees that surrounded by tons of velutina around...usually the side away from the sun in the hottest part of the day...do you think these are possible weilii patches?? are velutinas good indicator species..or just a pain in the ass to rummage for subbs in..lol

I found 1 little shroom with jet black spores in a cluster of dark brown spored Pan foes the other day in a lawn that had undergone some type of mulching or manuring last year. It stuck out because the black spores coated the stalk below when I carried it back home; otherwise looked like the foes (stem didn't survive transport). Confirmed spore color by prints of almost all caps collected.
I ate the lucky cap raw tonight by holding it under the tongue before swallowing (tasted good and musty to me). I was already under the influence of smoked Amanita from earlier in the day, but it seemed to cause a temporary increase in "nervous feeling," slightly blurred vision, and mild stimulation. Could've very well been a placebo effect, but gives me a good feeling about my prospects for finding a collection of Pan subs soon.

Yep, that is my feeling, though I do respond well to low doses of hallucinogens (e.g. 10 morning glory seeds for stimulation). In any case, I'm keeping my eyes open for the prize.

I've found some too. On my girlfriends lawn. Shes got a pretty new lawn. Just small subs though nothing huge.. they all have a black print and some of them turn a little blue on the base of then stems. I wonder if there are any more in the area? I mean if there are shrooms in one spot, theres a good chance there are more around on other lawns.

About four months ago I noticed that a large expanse of sod was installed. I've been keeping an eye on it and last week I found a sole subb. Well, I looked again today and saw eight - mostly solitary and scattered throughout the entire area. There were also a couple of foes(not pictured).

The stems on some of these were very dark red, almost purple towards the base.

Has anyone ever been on a sod farm? Those places must be subb bonanzas.

Last year someone that worked on a sod farm posted, he found a lot of subbs. No pics though.
I wonder what they do at those places. Probably they get free manure from their neighbors and mix it with dirt and add grass seeds and water.
