i've brewed at least 20 times using recipes and carboys and hops and malts from the brew store. but seeing as how im abroad and broke, i've decided to make cheap booze and publicize it in a zine im working on. i want something strong, cheap, and non fizzy. i plan on using water, sugar, and yeast for one brew and maybe add juice/ fruit to another. question: how much sugar should i use? any other ideas would be cheers!

Pruno, the prison wine.
Get about ten oranges and mash em up in a strong plastic bag. If you can get a hold of a can or two of peaches or fruit cocktail this will also help. Sugar packets are also helpful. Add about sixteen ounces of warm or hot water. Try to heat up the solution ( you can even run it under a hot tap for 15 minutes. Your going to want to hide this for about 2 or 3 days in a warm place. The gases released from the start of the fermentation process swell the plastic bag. When you open the bag it should have a yeasty and foul smell, this is normal. You will then need to add more sugar. try to get about fifty sugar packets or cube. Some folk will even add stuff like ketchup. you Will need to run it under a hot water faucet again for about 30 minutes. Then put it away for three days. Make sure to release gases as necessary, we wouldn't want a mess. Just keep an eye on it for the next week and estimate when it is finished. Try warming the solution once a day for quicker results. Try to find a way to strain the fruit from the concoction. And there you go. It looks and smells like vomit but it supposedly gets the job done and incites violence among prison populations. What better way to spend a romantic evening with your cell mate. lol.
