Hey, If you wanted to make Absinthe hold up to its false legacy (It was NEVER hallucinogenic, the distilling process and other factors played into some of the experience, although it IS a different experience than just being drunk) You could always add your own ingredient..oh lets say some Psilocybe Extract?

Damn this flawed poll!
"yes, an authentic bottle from 19th century europe" "yes, an imported bottle from europe"
What about "yes, a bottle IN Europe" ??
ps: Yes, I did drink some absinth in Europe, tried to do the whole light the sugar and stuff on fire then drop in the sugar and drink. We fucked up because that sugar was still hot as hell and burned our tongues... :P Another time we tried without the sugar and it was so strong I could barely swallow...

I've tried a dozen or so brands . I don't care for most of the Czech ones . For what I can get in the U.S. I enjoy Lucid , Kubler 53 and St. George . Mansinthe isn't too bad but by far my favorites so far are the Jade line I ordered from Europe such as Edouard 72 and Jade Verte Suisse 65.
Interesting clip about Absinthe and the Jade line :

I really didn't know it was legal. I'd love to try some. I hear you can make it yourself. I think I'd like to do that. I've always wanted to try it.
