 what are the OT rules for the NHL now in Playoffs?

Ever since the OT changes in the NHL a few years ago... I gotta ask:
Do they still do 20 minute overtime periods in the playoffs? Or did the playoff rules switch to shootouts also?

Brutal.
My prediction. Caps will Play Pens first round in the playoffs and I bet we get at least one triple OT out of it. It happens every few years

I think *IF* they make it, they'll dominate. The first 1/3 of the season really fucked them up. If they keep playing like they are now.. they'll get in at 7 or 8.. and oods are.. Pburg will be 1 or 2.

I really wanted to get some tickets for Sunday;'s game when the Pens come to downtown DC here... but it's sold out and even shitty nosebleeds are at LEAST 50 a pop on ebay.
I think that game will totally be a playoff preview. Pittsburg REALLY wants to end #1 and the Caps REALLY need some wins... Ov and Malkin are gonna' both play like their asses will get shipped back to Russie after the game if they don't go nuts.

im hoping hossa is back on the ice sunday playing at full strength. they need to get some games under their belt with the new guys, and everyone healthy (hopefully). i think once the changes settle in the consistency will be back.
sounds like im talking to a bunch of caps guys haha. may the best team win on sunday.

The caps would have won if it weren't for that one "tiny" mistake with 20 seconds left in the game... u know.. that mistake made by someone so young they should be serving me a big mac but instead he's racking up 60 assists?

common now, you cant really say they would have won. the only times they scored were 3 on 5. i think it would have gone to shoot-out and fluery would have came through

Last time we played Pburg, we beat them in a shootout
Which is weird because the caps are the shittiest team when it comes to shootouts. We only score against
1) really hard teams like the pens
and
2) when some random crappy 4th liner on the caps just jumps out without the coach's permission
One day we'll see OV score in shootout using some mind bending, michael jordan shit one day.... one day...
