A TEENAGER caught dealing drugs right in front of a CCTV camera has been warned that he could be sent to jail.
David Brandon sold £10 deals of herbal cannabis in a March bus shelter, and still had six bags of the drug when police turned up on the scene.
He had been recorded on CCTV as he sold drugs to a man in a car, who pulled into the shelter on December 14, magistrates were told.
Brandon, 18, of March Road, Wimblington, admitted supplying cannabis, and possessing 15.2 grams of herbal cannabis with intent to supply on December 14 last year.
Prosecuting, David Myles said Brandon had a set of scales and more plastic bags with him when arrested.
The teenager told police he had used his own scales when he weighed and bagged cannabis at a friend's house, before going out to sell the drugs on the street.
"He fully accepts responsibility for his part in this," said solicitor Anita Waterman.
"His friend had acquired some cannabis, wanting to sell it to make extra money for Christmas. This was not a regular course of dealing, it was a one-off.
"Brandon knew people who smoked cannabis, and accepts he became involved by going to a friend's house to bag up the cannabis, by contacting friends of his to tell them there was a source of supply, and then going out on this particular night to distribute it to friends.
"He only sold to friends and people he knew were users of cannabis. He supplied to one person right under a CCTV camera in March, he was not a professional or semi-professional dealer.
"He thinks he would have been paid a little money for his assistance, and was entirely frank with the police."
"We have not ruled out prison or committing you for sentence to Cambridge Crown Court," he was told by presiding magistrate Jane Melloy when she adjourned sentencing until March 25.

Just let the kid go hes honest and obviously a nobody in the dealer world.
Arresting him and throwing him in jail is just gonna waste money to keep him there and court costs and all.
Waste of time, warn him and send him on his jolly way.

I'm surprised they didn't mention the deadly skunk cannabis in that article.
