silverhaze: I'd say give them a bit of water and they should definitely get quite a bit larger than they look there, they get really massive sometimes but I'm not sure how much of thats variety or getting enough water/humidity and time.

Hi, Can I please get some dose advise from locals that have used Auckland or NZ Psilocybe subaeruginosa...
I have tried dried weights below, on 4 seperte occasions, over a month:
0.7g = no effect 1.0g = no effect 2.0g = no effect (friend tried same batch 2.0g and went to SATURN, almost level 3.75 effects(one scale 1-4), SAME BATCH, this is all DRIED blended and homogenious)
I then tried; 3g + 1.5g (1 hour later) + .3g ˝hr later (total 4.8g over 2 hrs), minor level 1 effect... maybe
at the same time, and SAME BATCH, friend took 1.7g and had about lvl 3.0 effects... SO the mushies are good and do work.
SO... does anyone have any experience or advice on what level I should try. Has anyone had similar no effects while others have had a trip on the same does?
Please message me privately, I want to figure out what weight to try or any advice? Does fresh work better then dried, and if 2g dried is used, what is that as WET FRESH weight? Thanks

1g dry is 10g wet, just times it by ten. Some people have a pretty bad natural tolerance. In another thread i think some guys were saying they need like 3-5g dry + to feel something, but me i would be pretty well toasted on a dry gram and happy not to take any more.
Are you on any SSRIs? anti-depressives? they can blunt the effects.

Found a few P. Subs in the very near central Auckland area at roughly 2am this very misty morning. Not giving away exactly where but, they're about. I suggest good hunts through Albert Park, Victoria Park, Myers Park perhaps. Generally you'll find carpets of non-psilocybin containing fungii too.

Reasonably good action out in the forests today (but getting into the forest has proven more tricky as the gorse thickens). Mostly small ones which I left, but a few medium sized and a couple of bigger ones.
Most of the Aucklandii in the pictures weren't picked as they were too small.

Re: my amanita experience
To be honest, I was still on a regular psilocybin trip so it's a bit hard to tell what the effects were exactly.
I'd say there's definately a calmness, everything feels silent. I can see how they would be great for meditation as I felt that I could easily clear my mind (if the other magics weren't effecting me :S). I didn't drink as much tea as I should have (I couldn't stomach it).
But yeah, overall I'd say it's a very quiet and still trip. Not particularly interesting but then that would have been just because I was coming down from the regular shrooms.
My finds were in Hamilton, on wood chip gardens. They usually grow in areas that are mostly shaded during the day so look around and under small bushes.

These, plus more but they needed more time, were throughout a mature ponga grove in a pretty deep river valley: Kapiti coast.
Anyone tried the honey keeping method? Does the honey absorb any of the active chems? Interested to know if I have to make a huge honey tea or can I just pick out the mushies?
Haunted, you said you found subs in the bush? No paddocks?
