I feel this way because all the best weed I have ever smoked looked kinda different than the typical super dank weed. All the best varieties I have ever smoked were legally grown outdoors by my cousin in Humboldt.
To be the best means the nug looks really mean in my experience.

Mr. Nice (G-13 x Hashplant) is probably the cheapest, most readily available G-13 hybrid. I like G-13 and its hybrids, but I wouldn't consider them equal to a kush or diesel.
I also have found that % THC doesn't always determine how good the bud is (or at least isn't the sole factor); the levels of CBDs/CBNs and other inactive cannabinoids really do seem to augment the high, which is probably why high % THC strains like G-13 don't always impress me as much as some that are supposed to have lower THC content.

you're kinda asking the impossible there; i don't really rate individual strains so I couldn't make a favorite to least favorite of those; plus I haven't tried half those strains; plus strains aren't going to always be the same depending on where they came from and ultimately what pheno you end up with.
If you're really serious about growing, you should probably pick the strains yourself based on what kind of high, flowering time, etc. you're looking for.

why not by the cannabible(s) most those strains are in there, and few people have tried the vast of array of strains jason king has so his descriptions will be fairly objective.

Jason King talks out of his ass alot. Some of the descriptions in the Cannabibles are just ridiculous; he obviously writes some of the blurbs under the influence of the bud he's smoking, because they just don't make sense sometimes. Also heard from a buddy that's met him a few times that he basically publishes whatever people tell him about a strain, whether it's true or not, so I'm sure there's a fair amount of misinformation.
It's the best place to look if you want good pictures though.

Yeah, I've heard good things about HCR. I go to TLMD, which also usually has around 50-60 strains. As I've been going there since the first week they opened (patient #2), I get good deals whenever I stop by

Green Crack, my favorite strain EVER (TLMD)
Newer Green Crack, called "Super Green Crack" (TLMD). I must agree, it is rather super!

yeah, i got edited for asking where to get peyote seeds, i can't believe it's fuckin illegal! it's almost extinct, and takes decades to grow amounts that'll really get you fucked and able to clone and take at least once a year... you know? i was asking where to get any type of clones, or seeds, but shit.. i'm probably never going to eat the thing, i just think it'd be cool to have one if they went extinct.
to the guy i'm quoting, you sure seem to know a lot about pot, is there any way you can help me out in telling me out of all those strains which have the best flavor or the ones you like the best? you like kush a lot, hindu kush is pretty good, you wouldn't put down the strains on that list would you?
by the way i'm a g-13 fan, even though it seems a lot of people on here seem to put g-13 down for some reason, i like strains of the such and similar, such as maple, or whatever.

its the fact that its prolly not even the same strain as the original g13, as many growers have found a good indica, bred it with one of theirs and then called the offspring "g-13" in order to mooch off the original urban legend surrounding it

Thats the case most likely.
Some of the best growers dont care about that shit and they just buy the best seed, and then find out later that a certain strain is the tastiest and sometimes even the most potent.
Believe it or not, I have seen many pictures of stuff called g-13(just called "g-13"), and its all the same and you can tell even though some is clearly grown better than others.
Outdoor g-13 looks alot different than indoor.
Outdoor is the best IMO.
G-13 is just a name, and some good guy/guys out there gave a name to a most supreme strain.
They called it g-13.
That is the most likely scenario.
These folks know their shit, so either there is a connection to the creation of the name, or its just another REALLY amazing strain.
I dont care.
G-13 is very real even if it has no connection to the root name.
AND it is up there with the best and if grown a certain way outdoor style, is the best weed I have ever smoked only by a small fraction.
It smells like oranges and a strong hash plant.
So tasty that it hardly smells like the typical super dank weed.
It smells heavenly.
Fruity to the max.
However, there are different versions.
It probably depends on the "version", or the person who grew it.
The version seems pretty consistent in cali, but none are as good as my cousin's outdoor g-13.
Its unreal.
