It's just you. Beyond my own threads all I can find is non-sense.:monkeydance:

I think most folks in P&S need a thorough explanation of what science is and is not, what evolution is and is not, and how to ground their arguments in some semblance of objective truth.

But y'all are still pretty cool anyways. I read through the forum every few days.

Us people never stop questioning ourselves, our lives, and humanity. The questions we ask here can never be truly answered. Even if we think we know the truth one day, the next day we ask ourselves if its still true. Read up on Socrates or Epictetus, those who don't question their lives aren't truly living.

dance before me like a million eyes
That call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a

they tumble blindly as
they make their way across the universe

I understand that much.

What I'm saying is that inane mumjo-jumbo and gobbledy-gook doesn't have any inherent philosphical meaning. Only rational thought can achieve that.

I question plenty of things, but you don't hear me spouting nonsense like "consciousness is of no evolutionary benefit." That's just silly, but one of you crazy P&Sers told me so.

Hmm, interesting thought.
After completing half a dozen papers pertaining to 'rationality' in my philosophy degree. Yes its a good way to be successful in arguments, but it does not always help you where you expect to go. And varieties of beliefs can often link to unexpected behavior for that belief if we are to take rationality into account.

Like the agnostic submitting to god... think about it.

and as for meaning... well i actually do not know where to start, so... no comment

So is that true of all the animals or just the "god like" ones?:monkeydance:

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but whenever I take a glance into P & S, I can only comprehend about 10% of the topics here; most of them confuse the hell out of me and I find myself reading the first post several times before I shake my head and try a different one. That or they just have nothing to do with philosophy or spirituality, like a thread I just saw that simply said "in an alternate universe I am a nice guy". :wtf:

I strayed away from this forum for a while because the hippy bashing kept hindering my practice, now it boosts it so ill post about love all fricking day lol!

I always bring a book to work with me, with the intention to read, it, even thought i spent the whole time here talking to you lot, i feel i learned more than the book couldve taught me.

The only thing about the net is people take on "net egos" that can be far worse/or better then they're real life personas!

Its all expression so its allll goood!!

"Only if one knows the truth of love, which is the real nature of Self, will the strong entangled knot of life be untied. Only if one attains the height of love will liberation be attained. Such is the heart of reality. The experience of Self is only love, which is seeing only love, hearing only love, feeling only love, tasting only love & smelling only love, which is bliss"

Now you have us all curious. What are you like in an alternate universe?

Seriously, sometimes this forum is dead and rather than posting in the Pub where I don't know anyone, I post here. Silly threads are just about relating to people and not necessarily about P&S. The mods are always free to move, lock or delete. And readers are certainly free to ignore or start a more on-topic thread.

Oh, no offense meant. I just don't have anything to say to most of the threads here is all.

And.. in an alternate reality I would be a vocal and highly opinionated person.
