I have this problem with money and I cant stop it. I absolutely HAVE to spend my money. I tell myself not to , i try to save it up , but its like my body acts on its own. WHILE im buying whatever it is im buying i tell myself to put it back the entire time but , to no success. Whhy cant i sve money? I had 200 (not much but its a start) in my "stash". The very next day u better believe it was gone and i had things to show for it that were worth far less. Is this a mental problem or what? I hate it man. it leaves ,me broke all the time for stupid shit. but i cant help it

I doubt money is the only aspect of your life that you exhibit a lack of self-control, but pardon me if that is not the case.
You have to realize that you are in control of yourself.YOU specifically have to make the changes- there exists no magic cure.
I can tell you what everyone else will tell you, save X amount of percent (e.g., 5%, 10%, 20%) of your paycheck - direct deposit into another "Savings Account (emphasis added), and don't touch it, but you already know all that. You just need to do it. Stop writing about it, reading about, talking about it, DO IT>

As AroundtheSun stated, it's ultimately going to be your choice whether or not to keep spending your money as fast as you make it. One tactic that may help, is depositing your money into a 6 or 12 month certificate of deposit (CD) account. Not only will you earn some interest on your money, but your money will be committed for the term you select. Once you have your money locked into a CD, the 10% or however much penalty for withdrawing early may be enough of a deterrant to help keep your hands off of it?

Your likely addicted to instant gratification. Seek the help of a professional counselor, its their job to help people like you. (Not a money management counselor, a therapist)
-------------------- Behold yon miserable creature. That Point is a Being like ourselves, but confined to the non-dimensional Gulf. He is himself his own World, his own Universe; of any other than himself he can form no conception; he knows not Length, nor Breadth, nor Height, for he has had no experience of them; he has no cognizance even of the number Two; nor has he a thought of Plurality; for he is himself his One and All, being really Nothing. Yet mark his perfect self-contentment, and hence learn his lesson, that to be self-contented is to be vile and ignorant, and that to aspire is better than to be blindly and impotently happy.

Sounds like a lack of self-control and self-responsibility to me. I'd go with what Geo said. Lock your money in somewhere.
