Jesus

The story of Jesus is one of the most mysterious in all of religious history. The mystery is not that Jesus was considered to be God by his followers; there are many such 'gods' in history and even a number of claimants in the present day. It is not that he is supposed to have died and come back to life, because he is not alone in that claim either. The mystery of Jesus is that there is no longer a Mystery in Christianity; everything has been explained. The official position of all the differing branches and sects is the same, one of the few things they agree on: Christianity today has no secret rites. Yet Jesus himself was the head of a heretical mystery cult, the initiates of which met secretly to share sacred food and drink while their master explained to them the hidden meanings of his teachings. We know of this from the Christian Bible.

Jesus is whatever people want him to be. Buddhist, black, a social revolutionary, God, master of a psychedelic cult... He was probably all and none of these. I'm not sure he ever lived outside of myth.

I have trouble believing you are serious about this question backfromthedead.
The Romans had control of the country he was in. The Jewish religious leaders of the day thought him a heretic. If you want to go by the Bible then you can read over and over again how he did not want things to be secrective. He wanted everyone to hear what he had to say. His followers were the ones who tried to keep people away. Between them and a serious threat to his personal safety you have good explanations as to the secrecy.
This is especially true in the years following his death when persecuting Christians was all the rage. THese believers had to go into hiding.

'I'm not sure he ever lived outside of myth.'
Neither am I. I understand the Astrotheology of it. Dec. 25 Born of a virgin crucified tomb for three days resurrection
These are all characteristics of the Sun as it relates to the zodiac. I just wonder about the findings of John Allegro. It makes sense to personify the mushroom energy then tell people to eat you. 'Take eat, this is my flesh...' This is the only way a literal Jesus makes sense to me.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that all the elements we are made of are created in the heart of stars.
Also, Shamans all over the world say our consciousness is literally located in the Sun and our brains are like remote-control receivers and transmitters.

Very interesting. I had the experience of being driven around remotely like an RC car once. I came away with the question, 'who's driving your ship??'
Makes sense, kind of.
Receivers and transmitters for sure. Tunable with some tweaking.
Right on.

Actually I'd like to soak up all these religious figures that put em out with the trash. I'm appalled at the extent that Jesus has polluted the brains of westerners. That and politics.
