 Judge yourself...

before you ever think of judgding others. Judge others no more than you judge yourself.
If you do not know/understand who you are, do not presume know/understand others. You should not distiguish other peoples mistakes before you see your own.
If you constantly refrain from making stupid mistakes, distiguish them before you actualy make them, or fix them immediately after they have manifested, you will naturaly come to notice the honest mistakes in others. Only then do have the right to judge them. Earn the right to judge. Always check on your footprints. On your way to become "whole".

People often don't tell themselves these kinds of things. And often times these people are not very well liked by many. This is not about being a kid it's about always being responsible for your actions. Some parents have not taught their children anything.
Then what do you have? Adults that have a big field of influence and power making big mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes, but it's important to know it, and distinguish them in yourself. Always check if your smoking gun hasn't been pointing in the wrong direction.
I find myself constantly thinking back to these paradigms to stay cool, and not caught up in egos.
**EDIT** just a little reminder to all, including myself.

i like your post, but why not stop judging others outright?
easier said than done, of course, as most of us were raised to judge others...or jealousy leads to us judging others. but as you notice yourself beginning to judge someone, stop it and don't let it continue, think on something else.

Because a hierarchy of psychological defenses is developed from day one. That makes it challenging. Any 2nd or 3rd person feeling (you//him/her/they/them/it/its) is a dis-owned shadow that I am not coming to terms with. Of course positive cultivations begin to develop when my emotions are integrated into 1st person "I" awareness. That's where one can say, "I am responsible" for how I relate to the world.

I don't understand why you think that we must understand our own mistakes before we can pass judgement on others? I'm not a chef but I'll judge whether or not my meal tastes good at a restaurant.
