Idk who they're gonna get for Silva but I say its gotta be somebody who's really well known. There's so much speculation around Silva, especially now, They are only gonna put someone who is big right now in front of him, pretty much whoever will sell the most tickets. It really is gonna be interesting to see.
I think in recent years the UFC has been more about the money than in the past. We saw this with the lesnar fight out of nowhere (and just 1 "pro" fight come on) and the call in the Lesnar/Mir fight for the strikes to the head just to leave these pro wrestling something to draw a big "What If" from.
If the UFC does start to sell out like that. It's really gonna make me wish pride/UFC would've stayed apart.

last night was sooo awesome, being my first live UFC and the seats. expensive but being close was worth it.

of all the fighters and people i saw in person;
sylvia, smaller than i expected, im 6' 6" and he didnt look too much taller
i stood right next to bustamante and he is tall and thin, looks old in the face
rich franklin is much taller and leaner than i thought, looks younger too
i stood next to serra and shonie carter and they are midgets
monson is a fucking monster very jacked, looked like he had a fatter stomach than normal
the pro wrestler i stood close to, batista i think?? he was an animal, soooooo fucking big. i mean the roids he must pound to get muscles like that
okami looked taller than i thought
rogan is fucking TINY like serra sized
big nog looked huge up close and actually much scarier looking than sylvia up close
chieck kongo is fucking lean, his legs are REALLY skinny
oh and vitor belfort was with anderson and wandering about
id say other than the actual fights...seeing a legend like big nog up close was cool.

he's definitely improved alot, and shown it.
very impressive.
I'm also glad Herring beat Kongo because it just shows you can't just be super ripped and expect to be a good fighter. Kongo is passive as fuck.

Yeah after every 1st round it looks like Kongo just decides to chill for the rest of the fight.
I already want a rematch, I just don't think anybody else will beat Silva anytime soon.

silva should go up to 205 and win that belt. after he should drop to 170 and win the belt there. he would be a fucking legend then. he could make all 3 weights too.

I missed a chance to talk to Heath Sims (Hendo's training partner) by a few minutes as he passed through town on the way back from Columbus. Too bad too apparently he had a whole bunch of Team Quest gear they didn't sell in Ohio I probably could have gotten really cheap.
Either way I'm sure my coach talked to him last night so hopefully I can find out what really happened to Hendo. Our speculation was the body triangle is actually what did it - meaning he probably locked it and squeezed when Hendo was trying to inhale - which can almost pass you out right there.

Silva is amazing. He looks like he's dancing in the ring, his rhythm is awesome, his strikes are sharp and fluid.
I think a big reason he does so well is how relaxed he is before the fight, you see how he just bounces into the big auditorium all loose and with that carefree smile, he looks genuinely overjoyed to be there.
just about any other fighter would have been owned after a first round takedown by Hendo. I actually thought for a second Silva was gonna lose when that happened.
they should open up weight for Silva and let him fight anyone

You know who i wish they would bring into UFC to fight Silva is Paulo Filho. If you haven't seen him check him out.. I think he would give Anderson a test.

I think Silva needs to move up and try to beat Rampage. He could definitely become a legend if he beats Rampage.

It's not unheard of for people in the same camp to have to match up. I was just saying Paulo Filho right now is a great 185 fighter, and would give him a test.
