What is it that makes "experience" different when:
a) Knowing that you are alone and not being watched....
vs.
b) Knowing that at least one or more people are focused/looking at you....
vs.
c) Having that feeling that you are being watched....
vs.
d) Being around a lot of people and feeling like no one there sees you at all....
It is almost like the difference between the practice swing at golf versus the real swing....
It always felt different to me....
The practice swing almost felt more natural if not more "graceful"....
I don't get it....

The distinction amongst these is the way we subsequently judge ourselves, mostly due to our own preconceptions of how we will be judged by others. The practice swing probably feels more natural because your mind is less obstructed by the mental programs that are running and interfering with your state of being when you are judging yourself and existing in fear of being judged.

And I've NEVER had to look for my ball in the woods from a practice swing. Although I have had to replace a divot from too deep of a practice swing...
