Another Westside High School student has been arrested in Anderson after officials accused him of having marijuana at school.
It’s the third marijuana-related arrest at the Anderson County District 5 school in less than a week.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the 806 Pearman Dairy Road campus, according to an incident report from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
A student told her teacher that the boy pulled a bag of marijuana from his shoe and offered to sell it to her, the report states.
When confronted in the school office, officials were unable to find the drug on the student, but a plastic bag of marijuana was found behind a trash can that was beside a chair the student was sitting in, according to Deputy J. R. Finley’s report.
The student admitted that the bag belonged to him, the report states.
Charged with simple possession of 0.8 grams of marijuana, the student was released to juvenile authorities.
On Feb. 7, a 16-year-old Westside student was arrested and charged with the possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
The male student had 0.13 grams of marijuana and $87 in his pocket, according to the incident report.
During an interview with Deputy R. R. Adams, the student admitted that he had sold the marijuana to another student, and he does it because he doesn’t like seeing his mom struggle.
Juvenile officials took custody of the student.
Within an hour of his arrest, police arrested his 17-year-old Westside customer, charging him with simple possession of marijuana.

The high school down the street from me has like 5 busts a week and thats low. You can go around after school and ask anyone and you will be able to buy. Wish my highschool was like that, oh wait it is minus the stupid kids getting busted.
