Just a quick question. I know wood-lovers propagate to cardboard, but is it possible to germinate spores on cardboard too? Thanks.

actually agar isn't that bad. I use 1 part beer, 2 parts water and small jars. Agar I got at the local grocery store. I don't know if it's ideal but works for me. The cardboard thing would be a great short cut. I would hope it would not require sterilization.

use the search engine and get instant results- this has been asked hundreds of times, and answered!

I searched the KB and forum. No luck. Maybe I'm not using proper search term. I know it propagates to cardboard, but I haven't read anything about germinating on cardboard. Any pointers to info would be great. Thanks

Thanks Tahoe!. So spores won't germinate on cardboard? I just want to germinate. Not grow.

i think the answer to whether or not they will germinate can be found using the search option. I was just stating that card board sucks when it comes to growing wood lovers.
