i don't see the beauty/attraction of locking up animals who are incapable of returning affection. like lizards, snakes, etc. besides having the ability to say "yes, this is MY horned lizard; yes, this is MY amazonian jungle pit viper", what else is there to it? you're just locking up an animal that doesn't wish to be locked up.
dogs, cats, ferrets, etc i can understand because it's obvious they understand the affection on some level; it's an actual companionship.
i just don't get that other stuff...and i wonder how many you have really thought it through.

nb4 = in before
means that this is a pets/animals thread and you most likely will/would be one of the first posters to make a comment in it, knowing your infatuation with the topic. so "in before liz" was meant sarcastically kind of.

Your Tina looks a lot like our Maximus who just passed away in December. She's a pretty kitty!

Oh. Well, yeah, guilty as charged - I'm obsessed with animals
Oh, and here are 2 more pups....these are my foster dogs that are arriving here on Wednesday afternoon.
Ozzie is a mix of maybe rottie/burnese mountain dog, maybe aussie? Who knows. He sure is cute though. He's about 10 weeks old. He's already adopted - they're picking him up on Sunday. At least I get to play with him for a few days...he sure is adorable.

Bruschi is a 1 yr old, 90 pound yellow lab mix. He has 2 spots on the front of his skull that are thinner than the rest of the bone, and his forehead looks a little funny because of it. Originally the ladies at the pound though that his skull hadn't formed all the way and that he was brain damaged....I was going to take him either way, but it's certainly good news that that isn't the case I've never fostered such a big dog - should be fun!

And, this big boy is coming in a couple of weeks. He was found on the side of the road half dead - hit by a car that drove away His leg was so infected that they had to amputate, but he's doing great. His name is Duncan, and he's 1 or 2 yrs old and 95 pounds...looks to be a purebred yellow labby boy. I have a soft spot for labs. I fell in love with this dogs pictrue - it struck me how he must be in terrible pain and was laying on the side of the road for days, yet he's smiling that big grin and waggin his tail. Can't wait til he's well enough to travel!
