I realize this thread is getting a bit long... but your question is answered in the first ten posts. It just might not be the answer you want to hear.

THEY ALL GROW THE SAME WAY.
So to call one strain a beginner strain is silly.
There are no beginner cube strains... there are no advanced cube strains.
Pick the one that you think would be fun.

Really, if the, "Strain" is commercially available in Europe... you probably will see it in Amsterdam... if you look hard enough. Try the one you think looks like it is the coolest. It will be.

I never made a grow log for that grow. It was pretty much WBS spawned to poo at a 1:4 ratio. The poo was pastuerized and the water squeezed out to field capacity. I cased it with jiffy mix in a double tub and left it alone until it fruited. No lime, gypsum, coir or anything else was added to the poo or casing.

In my experience, KSSS is a weird strain.
Pros: Thick, meaty stems (if that's what you're looking for). They are the most bluing strain of Cubensis I have ever worked with when cut. The potency has NEVER been lacking.
Cons: The pinset is usually poor. You will have blobs dotting your casing. I have NEVER seen a casing covered with fruits from this strain, even after 10-15 grows with it.
I suppose it's all about personal preference. FooMan's grow is one of the best I've seen with this strain. If you want fewer, thicker fruits, this strain is for you. If you're not worried about size, but want to try for a "sea of shrooms" pinset, I would suggest a different strain. It is definitely one of the few strains that when I grow it out, I can identify it by looks alone. Hope this helps.

It is unfortunate... but practically ALL of the most unique cube strains produce fewer shrooms... especially from multispore.
That said, it seems many of these strains compensate by producing thick, meaty shrooms (and many people swear they are more potent than average... although I have never seen proof of this).
If you want to be rewarded with BULK, stick with the "Cube is a cube" strains... and isolate a good substrain.
If you want to be rewarded with something unique, try a novelty strain.
I LOVE Koh Samui... to me, they look like hobbit shrooms.

Even the unique strains, such as Koh Samui sometimes look completely "normal".
This is a current grow of Koh Samuis I have going on, and although I expected something like the above posted pics, something like this developed:

I saw some Penis Envys posted a while back... like 3 or 4 years ago that looked like mostly normal cubes.
KS is interesting... your results can vary greatly from substrain to substrain. My friend has seen vastly different results every time he has tried KS. He says it is one of the charms of Koh Samui... you never know what you're going to get.

We'll see... I've only done them once, so I can't compare it.
I'll have some Koh Samui Super Strain colonizing right now, and from what I've seen (the fruits the print came from), I'm lookin' forward to see something looking -at least- more like they're supposed to look.
