As we know, the vendors aren't always the best people to get this kind of info from, but usually, one of the only sources.

Good find, very little detail though, I'm pretty sure that stuff is already in cervantes' journal.

I have heard all this talk about PESA being so potent but I tried PESA for my first time after my PF cake grow and it was pretty weak. I ate about 2-2/2 grams dry and didn't get much of a high. The Oaxaca I had tried a few weeks ago was much better. I'm disappointed.

I don't know if this is the right place for this but here's my 2 cents. If anyone has any ideas on the more potent strains they have tried I'd love to hear them.

Exactly, I don't know any other possible sources other than peoples worklogs/journals.

I bet most vendors don't know first hand all the characteristics of all the strains they carry anyways as most are purchased from spore suppliers to my knowledge.

yeah workman is the exception. I think he grows in his Jamaican lab to supply sporeworks. I don't know all I know is he works half the year in some lab and sporeworks has a 2nd-3rd world country grow op.

yeah i looked up that lab in jamacia online i dont remember what it was called though if i find it ill let you know, i think shrooms are legal over there because on the site they sell dried or fresh specimens idremeber

From multispore, I wouldn't be surprised if they are the more prolific strains... due to their specialized isolation... but it could all easily be a marketing ploy.

I am personally more skeptical about Yost than KSS for reasons stated earlier in this discussion.

Really? I washed all the pins off and everything, they just came up so fast, I couldn't believe it.

I've got some TC side by side, and the pins are just now about 1/3 inch. Hopefully they impress me equally, though I doubt it.

oh and theese little bad boys were potent as all hell! i ate 11g fresh picked off the cake (1.1g dry) and had a pretty damn good trip, hell, ive eaten whole 3.5g before and tripped about the same as this

these strains have all caught my interest for being good outsiders...
MexiCube - fast, easy & versatile grower. continues flushing over and over within same week. fruits from 50F to 90sF, good for summer.
"A" Strain - Strong culture, average colonizer. prolific & easy to fruit. likes hot temps, good for summer according to roadkill.
Orissa India - large fruits, potent, rhizomorphic. the large fruits this strain produces aught to be able to soak up all the water it gets. i can only hope this indian enjoys the heat.
Puerto Rican - extremely rhizomorphic, aggressive colonizer. excellent potent fruiter with fairly large caps.
Texas Goliad - dense fruits, medium size. exceptionally well on straw-based substrates. above average flusher, "youll have your hands full!"
Peru - Excellent on dung. Medium to large caps. Very good, even pinset, never have seen an abort. At least 4-6 flushes. Resistant to contams.
Texan - Super dense fruits, small but firm. very little water weight, dries rock hard without shrinking much. prolific fruiter at -little to no light-. texas is just as hot as florida.

i have considered virgin island strain, and huautla/oaxaca. im sure F+ would do magnificently here. i would also assume that most strains from mexico would do well in the summer.

please post any strains you know of that do well outside. perhaps we could collect enough data to make a table of strains with their strengths/weaknesses under different conditions being listed.

Even if you lived in Miami, you could drive out of town for an hour, check on a cow field and with a little luck, you should be able to actually find cubes, you could take prints off and cultivate outside later on.

Since all cubes grow under the same grow parameters, there's no difference in what strain you choose.

And taking growing info from a vendors site (even if it' thehawkseye), isn't wise, for vendors stay vendros and try to seel their stuff. Means they advertise their products in a way that seems to makes all strains different, so people buy.
Although there are certain differences in cubes (actually it's just tendencies of looking different, except for SOME strains, such as PE or OI), often different strains look and grow pretty much the same way.

So it doesn't really matter what strain you get!

If you would have read just a little bit more, it would have come to your, that cubes are mostly cubes!
It's mostly depending on the specific genetics of a particular strain what potency you get. Other factors ain't sure yet, because they haven't been professionally investigated so far.
The differences in potency are minimal and from time to time, you get completely inactive fruits, no matter what strain you deal with.

PESA is just as potent as any other cube around and you just had bad luck with your strain. That's all.
You should grow them once more and you should see, that it's capable of good potency!

I inocced up another 2 1 pint jars with PESA I'm gonna try again but this time use a munure compost. I hear it can be more potent on dung. I never really go for that popular slogan "A cube is a cube" I've tried different strains and gotten completely different potency factors.

I also injected one of my cakes with the KSS spores so I'll share my experience with that strain with everyone. It colonizing kind of slow right now but I hear the fruits are great.
