 Heroin first time

I snorted some H last night. See an old friend called me up and I haven't talked to him in a couple years. I knew hanging with him would be risky but I was like fuckit. He was going to by me an oxy 80 for driving him to the shitty, but when we got there all dude had was H.
So I snorted a total of 1 bag throughout the night. My friend was shooting it. I could have tried shooting it but really didn't want to at all, so instead put it up the nose.
I'm still pretty high. I don't understand what the big deal is though, since diacetylmorphine gets turned into morphine in the body and it's just the diamorphine crosses the BBB easier or something.
I don't really care to try it again, and won't hang with this high-risk "friend" of mine again. But I guess it was a deterrent seeing someone shoot H in-person, especially since they spent their last bit of money on dope instead of insulin.
What the hell is so worse about heroin than morphine? Oh, and where do I go for the shroomery free heroin ring?

I had a very vivid dream that i did heroin. I for some reason injected it into my leg, I wake up and feel it. It was VERY strong! I thought maybe my dream was real, i felt so dopey and fucked up kinda like a dark roll. anyway never done it in real life but damn what a fucked up dream!

Do yourself a favor: vow to yourself not to use heroin again this year, whatever happens.
It is insidiously addicted, people think its all cool until they are well into an addiction.
Kinda like a Black Hole, nothing seems wrong unless you want to go and find out you can't.

The big deal is that it all seems rosy, but once you have done it enough times in a short enough timespan, your sober consciousness will be a living hell unless you use some more.

OP here, well I can see how someone could get into a habit but this is with any drug that makes you feel good. I don't plan on scoring again & don't even foresee the opportunity happening.

regardless of another opportunity coming up again, and even if it does, will you still be able to say 'no'?
heroine will not do you any good. I despise of anyone who sells H, crack and coke, simply because of the fact that they're capitalizing on the weaknesses of (very often poor) people.
stick to the shrooms and learn something about yourself.

I knew I'd possibly have a taste when I decided to hang w/ that person last night. I only wanted a taste & thats what I got, had no problem saying no to IV or doing more than a small taste. Anyway, all the typing whatever in the world some say is justifications etc. so it's better done by doing not saying,
I'll not touch that shit again, just as I might do an oxy once in a while. Yeah, I'm walking a thin line between recreational use and abuse, and all it takes to break is one time saying "oh... well, I guess it would be ok to do a little more cause [insert excuse here]" but to me, I know when I'm bullshitting myself and as long as the opportunity isn't there when I'm vulnerable, I'll be ok. Vulnerable as in, feeling shitty/depressed/having the fuck-its.
The biggest thing is, being sure I'm not around people who use or who can get it, this goes the same for pills coke etc. which is why I said I'll not be hanging with this "friend" again for awhile if at all.
Hope this all helps someone reading, to see how addictions begin & how to avoid getting addicted. Although I don't agree with a lot of narcotics anonymous' fundamentals, they are right in that it's the "people, places, and things" that draw one back to relapse.

it relieves me to know you wont use H again, i don't have any problem with anyone trying out a drug once or twice but it bothers me to see it become a habit addiction and watch lives go down the drain.

OP here again, I just got back from my friends house and I got some more heroin. This stuff is so awesome I think I'm going to just start taking on the weekends. I read that you can't get addicted this way, so I'm good.

Ya, it changes and the high wont be good after a while. Once you are hooked you spend your day doing it just to not feel sick and it sucks. Take the above advice and never do it again. It has a lot mor OD potential then morphine for some reason, idk why.

I don't know man. I don't think that's a good idea. Heroin's fun , but that's something you should try more like every once in a great while. That's how all addictions start- is by saying you'll just do it on the weekends. It's a joke and you know it.
