Mmm, it doesn't look like it's growing. It looks less then this morning even. I'll lend my neighbours camera and post pics in an hour or two.

Really hope it's bruising  I'm looking forward to these shroomies

Luckily I can also still buy them in the smartshop, they're not forbidden just yet here in Holland. Really dissapointing it won't be possible anymore to buy my friends in the shop in the future :frown:

Bruising will be the color of the cake itself, as if you spilled blue-green ink and it soaked in.  Mold will be a separate layer, as if you sprinkled green sand on top of the cake.  Close inspection will easily tell you which you have

Be clean when birthing and dunking, etc., but don't get anal about sterility, because your cakes are fully colonized.  If they contaminate prior to first flush, they were contaminated since prior to birthing anyway.

I've taken some pics of my cakes. I know some parts are bruising (I pressed on my cakes intentionally to see what bruising looks like), but I'm not totally sure about all the blue. Some of it looks like it's growing on the hairs of the white myc (the species is golden teacher).
But I have to say that since yesterday, the amount of colored areas got less, didn't increase any way. This would suggest it's NOT a mold right?

[edit] my server is down temporarily. Think it'll be back tomorrow.

 I hoped so, especially when the blue decreased instead of increased. Just wanted to be sure about it, since it's going to be my first flush ever

I'm starting to see some serious pinning here by the way

Mould will grow very quickly, bruising can be quite deceptive sometimes, i have seen it many shades.

I keep some cotton buds handy to check.

Soooo my first flush is ready! I waited a bit too long so a couple of shrooms already dropped there spores, but for the rest I'd say I have nothing to complain

Sorry for the quality, only have a webcam...
