Hi everyone.
It has been raining like crazy for a week now, so I took a stroll down the local park with my dog and found these mushies.
The are quiet hard to the touch and smell earthy...
The bruising is not very obvious but maybe brownish blackish.
They were growing in between some large gum trees, and the ground was covered in leaves and woodships and soil.

Hey mate they're not active, i don't know what they are. A description and/or photo of the gills is always helpful.
If you want to find actives near Brisbane you need to head out to dairy pastures and look for Psillocybe cubensis and/or Panaeolus cyanescens (aka Copelandia cyanescens).

Hey. The underside of the cap is as important as the top. Please remember to take photos of all angles of the mushrooms, and try and get a spore print.
Based on what I can see in the photos alone, I'm going to guess Laccaria, or maaaaybe Clitocybe.

* Habitat (where [woods, pasture, state,province,country, altitude] and what [soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?)] does it grow on)
* Characteristics of the gills (color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc)
* Characteristics of the stem (length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc)
* Characteristics of the cap (diameter,color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc)
* Spore print color (very important!)
* Color that the mushroom bruises
* Scent of the mushroom
* Anything else you might find important

don't think your always right, if he posts a pictures of the gills my answer will be 100% correct, while at the moment it is only 80% correct.

Well, we both cannot be sure in our "guess" until he shows a better picture of the gills. But that hue of red is indicative of rubellus. This coincides w/ the fact that QLAND, Australia has been relatively hot over the past two weeks for this particular species, ergo, this accounts for the faded red as seen in the more mature specimens.(See weather.com, indicating an avg of 86 degrees and mushroomexpert.com indicating that these species is usually found in eastern U.S. and thrives in 75-80 degree weather.(mushroomexpert.com)

In his last photo to the upper left, you can very vaguely make out what are likely gills. Even if they were pores, you can still see that the colour is not yellow (as with B. rubellus), it is a light tan colour.

Looks light purple or pink on my monitor.

That is really not a good premise.
A LOT of different species of mushrooms grow in that climate.

No, it isn't indicative what species it is, as you have correctly pointed out, if you re-read my post, it will show that it is indicative as to the reasoning of why they are not all RED.

Wow, an interesting exchange. I'll be interested to see the undersides of those mushrooms if the original poster ever uploads them.
I have to admit, Evets, that any species of Boletus doesn't look like a likely match to me. My initial wild guesses would have been Tricholoma or Clitocybe. A photo of the underside of a cap will settle whether they're boletoid or not immediately.
