Sublime.
Why do people love sublime to much? I'll listen to sublime sometimes, they are good musicians, (were). But they definitely don't deserve the attention they got. and still are getting.
I feel like the people that don't like them are singled out. People are such assholes to people that call them over-rated.
I don't particularly see much in the grateful dead either. Sorry guys...
I bet you some of you are going to be appalled by this post. And that is exactly my point. Its an opinion, and so many people treat it like it's law. It just gets to me.

Nobody gets pissed exactly, but I know a lot of people who say Radiohead is overrated.
I just figure that they haven't gone down the same path. I feel like their music has progressed, the same way my life has progressed, from when I first started listening to them back in 93 when I was 14, singing along at the top of my lungs, to today, when they can still manage to make me shiver in appreciation. Radiohead's music and lyrics have always been relevant to my life and mood at just the right time, which leaves me no choice but to love them!

yeah, nuetral milk is bad as hell.
They have 2 songs that I like, the rest sound terrible.

Sublime is my favorite band and has been since the 6th grade.. They are my favorite band to get high too and they always will be.. You just dont understand Sublime like I do.. My life often syncs with Brads lyrics..
I dont get angry at people who dont like Sublime.. You connect to some bands more than the other..

i like their gardenhead song (neutral milk).. but that's about it
this might offend some, but i am not particular impressed with Tool save for a few songs

I don't like tool too much either. Their songs are very monotone, and all sound the same-ish.

Well some people are dicks and some aren't!
For example I love sublime and tool but I wouldn't get pissed at anyone for thinking otherwise. It seems par for some people on this board to just flip out at anything that disagrees with their opinions.
Thats something I can't get over about America. I've lived here most of my life and I was born here, but I've lived in Europe for a few years. There you can sit down, have a heated debate or disagreement with anyone. When the argument is over, your still friends and no ones mood is ruined. A lot of us Americans just take things too fucking personal, theres nothing wrong with disagreement and argument. But to be a complete asshole to a person and never talk to them again b/c you disagree on things is just ignorant.
This could be a reason divorce rate in the US is so much higher than anywhere else in the world.

I like Sublime, but like most others here said I could care less if someone else doesn't. You could hate them and buy their CD's to use as target practice and piss on the pieces afterwards, what the hell business is it of mine what music you like?
A lot of people in America (And I'm sure many many other places too) just need to get over themselves and their opinions that anything they believe in or have a strong feeling towards is untouchable by others.

For me its the same thing with sublime ^^^
Given Bradley Noel was a talented song writer, the guitars weren't amazing, the drums, the production, and so on. They weren't the most talented musicians but the heart and emotion they put into the music is what gave it the fire.

Everyone's totally entitled to their own personal preference in music. No one has any right to tell someone else that their music sucks, because it's all opinion. (in most cases )

There is no accounting for taste. I don't dis other's choices and don't get overly upset when they disagree with mine. I don't hate them - I just feel sorry for them that they can't appreciate what I am hearing. Almost the same way I'd feel about a deaf person.
