dirrrrty 'dub-step' (if you can really call it that) made by a guy out of the UK who has chosen to remain anonymous. One of my favorite records of the year...this is some weeeiird, haunting, creepy music. incredibly original sounding though...

Hey man, I'm listening to burial and broadcast right now. Broadcast is a little slow for me at the moment but I might like it better when I'm in a chill mood, or ripped lol.
Could you do me a favor and put your music files in a folder before you add them to a .rar and upload it? It will make life easier for all of us if you do. Nothing I hate more than an unorganized music folder.

qft.
all of my music is as follows d:\my music\artist\album or if it is a really well established artist with a large discography it'll go d:\my music\artist\year - album. it must be organized like that. it's one of my few idiosyncrasies.

hehe...well, on my computer where all of it's archived, I have about 120 gigs of music and it's organized down to specific genres and sub genres in a very anal retentive way. so i'm totally with you on the organized music tip! however, i don't usually use sites like DivShare...I just made an account there strictly to be able to share some of my music with people here at the shroomery.
So you'll have to forgive me, as I'm fairly retarded with winrar and most basic computer knowledge...but, i dont really understand what it is that you're asking me to do differently when compressing/uploading them? I'm just going into the album folders, like say 'Burial - Untrue' for example, and dragging the mouse over all the tracks, right-clicking "add to winrar archive" and then uploading the .rar folder to divshare..is that not right? I'm more than happy to do it the right way if I know how to.
thanks...
and yeah Broadcast is definitely chillout music. Have you heard that Of Montreal record though? it's one dancey fucking record, possibly my favorite of 2007.
Peace...

it's no sweat man. i wasn't trying to bust your chops. instead of going into the "Burial - Untrue" folder and dragging over all the tracks, just right-click the folder itself and archive that.

Sorry about the rapidshare link. My borrowed connection and divshare's busy server don't get along very well.

I have every single piece of music those fuckers have put out but my proxy setup has a really bad habit of fucking with FTP, can someone else up the Spoon? They really are one of the best indie bands to ever grace the planet.

Vampire Weekend and MGMT are both pretty fucking awesome. Everyone in my house has been listening them for the past week non-stop.
Good look on the Minus the Bear, deadendeavor, I really like them. Got the album already, but I like to see other people recommend them.
