i dont really consider dance music indie, but there might be others that might...
most of that scene is run by rich LA douchebags, and then there's the whole French side to it

to 'relative': of course jeff buckley was one sweet bastard. i'm not his biggest fan but i can appreciate a good set of pipes when i hear them. and spiritualized...pfft, don't even get me started. lazer guided melodies and 'ladies and gentleman' are some of my favorite albums ever. hearing 'Shine A Light' from their live at Royal Albert Hall is what turned me on to them. Spacemen 3 were even radder in my opinion.

Heres one extra I forgot to put up

Quote:
Produced by Rusty Santos, the New York mixer behind Animal Collective and Panda Bear's albums, Red, Yellow & Blue exemplifies the Ruffians' brand of self-described 'hootin and hollarin'. From start to finish it's a good time, and the band knows it. With songs like the jangly ''Hedonistic Me'' and the sugary sweet ''Foxes Mate for Life'' to the foot stomping ''Badonkadonkey'', the band constantly pushes the boundaries of musical arrangements.

No man, I'm not trying to take credit or anything, I'm just saying it's a good fucking album. This thread has become so big reposts are inevitable. so fucking whatever.
