El Guincho - Alegranza
Animal Collective spent some time in South America and Africa; this is their first record since returning and changing names.
don't know if it matters, but this isn't Animal Collective. They didn't change their name. This album's compared to Strawberry Jam and Panda Bear's Person Pitch alot, but it's all made by a Spanish guy named Pablo Díaz-Reixa. Similar sound, different artist.

Murder by Death - Red of Tooth and Claw
I couldn't find the cover on Google images, so fuck it.
I'm terrible at describing bands. Singer's voice is unique, or at least stands out to me. A little more powerful than most I guess. There's a cello player, and she's kinda hawt. This shit is straight up driving music too, or at least as close to driving music as you'll get in an indie album thread.

dude, female celloists are almost always hot. a woman being able to play the cello automatically bumps her up about 1-2 levels of hotness. a natural 6 will be a 7 or 8, a natural 8 would be a 9 or 10, etc.

DJ Danger Mouse & Jay Z The Grey Album.rar
This is similar to the Biggie and Sinatra album posted a while back, but IMO much better. I personally don't like Jay-Z but the production and concept for this album is pretty sweet. All the beats are crafted from the Beatles White Album. They are mixed with Jay-Z's Black Album. White Album + Black Album = Grey Album. Hope you enjoy!

I used to like Murder by Death, but they either got a new singer or the singer changed his vocal style. I can stand how he sounds now.

Do you like HEALTH too? I tried to get into them, wasn't happening but I like these Crystal Castles, good work Toronto, you'll be like Montreal in no time.
Here's two CDs from Why? after he decided to get a band together.

Why? - Elephant Eyelash
This is a more accessible mixture of rock/rap/electronic/pop/experimental ish. Anyway, incredible CD, hard to describe but the style is quite original.

Why? - Alopecia
Which leads me to his latest release, which is also quite fucking good. I suggest listening to them both but Elephant Eyelash first.

Hey I'm kinda diggin the first Why? album. The lyrics are way out there for sure. I hate his label-mate Dose One though, he ruined some good albums IMO. Also I've been listening to the Drug Rug album. I definitely like their sound. It reminds me of old folk music but modern. Checkitout

Apes & Androids - Blood Moon
http://rapidshare.com/files/90690040/ApesAndroidsBloodMoon.zip

Quote:
With their fusion of dance, electro-pop, and glam-rock, it makes the name Apes & Androids even more appropriate. Signifying both past (apes) and futuristic (androids) intentions, their veneration for influences both past and present is on full display. That was my initial thought process, but as the band members themselves clarify in regards to the origin of their name, I suppose that a sexually dominating response is appropriately in sync with their dramatically flamboyant display of operatically relevant pop music. “An ape is the embodiment of “ideal” male sexuality and an android, female sexuality. Everything’s about sex, right?!” the five-piece said collectively. “It also spoke to us because when we’re writing our music, we’re equally obsessed with really detached electronic motifs and animalistic, beastly ones!” Alright, well, however you would like to interpret that, there is no question that Apes & Androids are composed of five unconventionally entertaining personalities.

Neon Neon - Stainless Style
A collaboration between Super Furry Animal's Gruff Rhys and left-field hip-hop producer Boom Bip -- who first worked together in 2005 when Rhys added vocals to "Do's & Don'ts" from Boom Bip's Blue Eyed in the Red Room -- Neon Neon play warm, dancey music informed by '80s new wave, Prince, and Kraftwerk, among others, while also calling on the contributions of artists like Spank Rock, Yo Majesty, Har Mar Superstar, and the Magic Numbers to fill out their sound.
