Dirty Projectors are a Brooklyn-based band led by Dave Longstreth. Dave plays guitar while two girls flank him at either end of the stage, one playing guitar and the other playing bass...behind him is a rather crazy drummer. What can I say about their music? It doesn't seem like ti should quite make sense, especially when you see it live...but it all comes together wonderfully. It's really off-kilter, very psychedelic, strange time changes...
And his voice. Wow. One of my friends used to play with Longstreth when they were both students at Yale and he saw him develop the technique you hear on Rise Above, the album I've uploaded. He has this way of wiggling and wobbling and waggling his voice that really just seems warped - reminds me of those very strangest of acid mindfuck moments.
Anyway, enjoy.

Boris - Smile
New un-released Boris record. I believe the official US release date is scheduled for some time in late April. This is the track list they've settled on so far, for the American version on Southern Lord Records. Like any other Boris record, this one definitely breaks any aesthetic boundaries, or more likely ignores them all together. Ghost's Michio Kurihara lends his axe shredding skills once again, and the sonic distortion and feedback on Smile is as intense as it gets. Enjoy!

the new okkervil river album is pretty bad ass. it's kind of like what you might of hoped arcade fire's last album might of been.

Weird. I don't know how you compare those two.

El Guincho - Alegranza

I don't see the comparison, but I will agree that The Stage Names is 2386428983 times better than Neon Bible.

DivShare File - The Cold Vein.rar]Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein
I'm glad you asked for this album because it's definitely in my top 5 albums ever. For those of you who don't know, Cannibal Ox is an underground hip-hop group which includes Vast Aire and Vordul Mega as MC's and EL-P's wonderful production. This is extremely different from any hip-hop you've ever heard before. Stand out tracks: -The F Word -Pigeon -Scream Pheonix

DivShare File - The_Hives_-_The_Black_And_White_Album.rar Some really energetic indie rock for ya. Good music to jump around to.
If someone has one of these could they please upload it?
--The Shins - Wincing the Night Away (just got into the shins and am loving them right now. Can't get enough of the song "Phantom Limb") --Silversun Pickups - Carnavas --Honeycut - The Day I Turned to Glass --TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain
Thanks to everyone who's contributed so far. I found some good stuff I'd never heard of before!

I'd say about five of the tracks on that CD are good. Rest are mediocre.
