 Pure psilocybin while asleep?

this guy i know has some pure psilocybin and thought it would be interesting to set his alarm for 5am, pop the gelcap, and then go back to sleep. However, he's concerned that this may obliterate the veil between worlds permanently, or something dramatic like that...but maybe thats good, who knows?
Anyway, he's just curious to know if anyone has ever done this before, so i decided to post this up for him

My guess would be that he will get back to sleep, then probably wake up when the effects of the psilocybin get too great to sleep through

That would most likely be a waste of good drugs. What would be the point of tripping while unconscious? It would be far more productive to take it while awake when you can be aware of what is being shown to you.

You lose some of the product through an extra process when mushrooms alone are easy to consume. Why bother with the extra hassle? If anything it will be powdered mushrooms in gel capsules. I've done this with LSD. I recommend it. Waking up into a tripfucked world is an interesting experience.
Set an alarm to make sure you wake up, though.

If its pure psilocybin it doesn't mean its extracted. There's a few sources out there that sell synthesized psilocybin along with other RC's.

Taking it then waking up is fun btw, I've dosed LSD then taken a nap only to wake up in psychedelic land. It's pretty cool.

No no i completely believe you, I was replying to someone else who was ill informed.
Ive actually heard a guy going to sleep after taking shrooms, he woke up and thought it was a dream, kept trying to walk through walls and such

It just seems unlikely that somebody would bother to synthesize psilocybin (Tihkal synthesis) when it is so easy to cultivate cubes. That is the only reason I didn't mention it as a possibility. If you have experienced people distributing this then it does happen. However, this is besides the point as Vector said: Quote:

I would assume that he would just wake up, if anyone has seen the movie "Altered States" Maybe the veil of reality could be blurred inside an isolation tank. Who knows, more humble thinking would suggest your friend wakes around 5:30 or 6:00.

He probably got it from doing a high ph extraction with methanol or ethanol.

Psilocybin is highly soluble in boiling water, less soluble in methanol but still quite soluble, and even less soluble in ethanol.

Ive ate 2 grams and went back to sleep. The trip didnt wake me up, but my back was hurting from the bed and i woke... It was dark so i didnt see much, and i felt quite drowsy (probably the flowey feeling you get on mushrooms) so it all blended inand i went back to sleep

I think taking a cap and going back asleep. It will kick in you will trip in your dreams and wake up and trip because its hard to sleep on shrooms.
I know taking small doses of shrooms like .5 before going to bed produces some unusual dreams dream likes states. Thats if you experience/remember a lot of dreams normally.

One of my friends occasionally likes to wake up, drop some acid, then go back to sleep. He says once the acid kicks in, you wake up in a tripped out world and it's great.
