spectrometer or such for measurement of psilocybin content?

Ok so you just got a nice flush and you want to pick your most potent mushroom to clone. Could you determine psilocybin content by measuring the oxidation of the psilocybin with a spectrometer or something. I'm thinking about placing equal mass samples of agitated tissue into seperate test tubes full of water/h202/ozonated water and then trying to measure the psilocybin content by judging which tube has more of a blue tint. Is this a good indication of potency assuming all tubes had the same amount of tissue and were agitated and exposed to oxygen equally?

For a number of reasons you probably want to use a developing agent like p-DMAB.
