If I took 3 300mg (2.7mg hypericin) caplets of St. Johns Wort in the morning, then later that night:
I dosed around 230 mg of DXM am I at high risk of getting serotonin syndrome?
I have gotten varied responses about the maoi effects of st john's wort. So I was wondering if the community thought this situation would make me die.

You'll be fine. Serotonin Syndrome is a rare occurrence even when combining hard drugs like speed and ecstasy with other drugs that affect serotonin.
Enjoy!
(I like DXM a lot too)

DXM acts on the glutamate receptors it is an NMDA antagonist, whereas it might have some affects on serotonin they are probably few and far between, plus St. Johns Wort is very mild in it's ability to block the re uptake of serotonin. I think you should be fine, the St. John's Wort will very much more than likely have no potentiating affect on the DXM.

Just because DXM is a dissociative does not mean it is not a part of the psychedelic experience.

It's debatable, I suppose. However, the topic just fits better in ODD, that's all.
