most of us know the difference between getting 2 8ths off of a pf jar and getting a pound out of a bulk grow is only about 2 hours of work.
that being said, i hope you guys are doing something good with the money, and giving some percentage back to the community unselfishly.

It doesn't pay as good as a lot of other jobs. Why pick on these guys and call them selfish? No more selfish than the guy that makes $50 building something or designing a private garden.
What they give is the availability of mushrooms to those who don't choose to grow or search for them.

when I was a dealer I gave 10% to NORML, the DPA, and SSDP
which was kinda dumb considering they're all trying to put me out of business
but hey, its the principle of the thing, right?
drug dealing really isn't all about the money. Its about helping regular people get through their horrible lives.

The person who started this thread obviously has never tried to make regular business out of bulk growing.
It is harder than you think. More expensive than you think. More things fuck up than you can imagine. The bigger you get the bigger that target on your back gets.
Mushroom growing is a hobby first. You will not retire and be a bigtime pimp dealer from mushroom grows. It requires patience and dedication. Profit may be motive but it is not inspiration.
If anything, the real money in shrooms would be from the FL hunters. Now, when you can pick up 10+ pounds in one night and drop that on some dealers you are looking at nice profit, little labor and minimal exposure to law enforcement.

A friend of a friend made decent money off a little grow-op he had.
He lived in an apartment in the city, and dedicated a small closet to his grow-op. The closet had several shelves. The top two shelves were fruiting chambers. The bottom two shelves were for colonizing cakes and casings. He would rotate and time the grow cycles in such a way that he would get 2 harvests a month. The harvests were usually between a quarter and a half of a pound.
He sold these shrooms to trusted friends he'd known for years. Sometimes in small, personal quantities like 8ths, and sometimes several ounces in one sale. His business generated about $1-2k a month. He did this for a year, then got too paranoid of being busted and tore the op down. He had fun while it lasted, though.

actually he did live off that amount of money, but he was a pretty simple person with a low cost of living. Basically his shroom farm was his way of avoiding having a job while in college.
