tiny bright red pinhead spots

well, i was trying out peat moss as a substitute for verm (just an experiment) in 250ml pftek jars and most of the area is colonized. the parts that the myc hasn't gotten to yet show very tiny but visible red spots. doesn't look like patches of mold but just suspicious red pinheads in the peat moss. not lots of them, but maybe 2-4 in clusters. i'm wondering what that is, doesn't look like lipstick.
