Distilling

So I've heard of people using pressure cookers to distill alcohol from malted barley. Anybody know of a good website that offers information on such a subject?

doesnt the pressure cooker leak at the bolt at the top? Ive commonly herd of people taking that whole bolt assembly apart and cleaning the grease off (which is difficult) then modifying it how they want to distill alcohol. Everything you need to know is on the home distiller website that dutchmushrooms posted above.

nope actualy were the little pressure thing pops up (the bolt) i just keep it up, heres what i do,

i put my mash in the pc and turn the heat on, then put the top on, then i take a knife with a thin point and pull the bolt up, and underneath the lid of my pc on the pot itself there is a little thing that prevents you from turning the lid and opening it while the pc has high pressure (if the bolt is popped up it wont allow you to take the lid off,) well i just pull the bolt up and then turn the lid untill the little thing hits the bolt and prevents the lid from turning anyfurther, but it also prevents the bolt from dropping back down, i have never modded my pc because i still use it for its intended purpose (well maybe it isint intended to be used to sterilize jars of spawn)

i never have any problems with leaks or anything,

peace out Dm
