Last noob question - Fruits growing out of casing gap only

Ok I think i almost have it all figured out. Got one more newb question to get out of the way tho. My first test casing worked out really well. However all the fruits grew from the sides where there was space b/t the container and the edge of the casing which had 'shrunk' in a bit. I figured out my casing issues. Too acidic. I know how to correct this now. Was this possibly caused by the problem with my test casing? It was a decent harvest and extremly potent however, i just thought it was wierd that all the fruits kind of nudged up the sides like that. Every blue moon I would have a fruit pop up the center but 95% of them came out the gaps in the side

You might have packed it down more in the middle, or your humidity is too low and they pin at the sides because its more humid there.
