A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. -- `Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' -- Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.

I plan on adding a Diesel Mercedes to my fleet soon.

I'm glad to hear that. I think the world would be a better place if more people drove diesel MB. But then again, fuck everyone else. That would just make them more expensive. I am hoping to get a "newer" one this spring. Same year, same model just much, much lower mileage.

Just got a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle TDI after totaling my Neon. 45 MPG is gonna save me a bunch on gas as long as diesel prices hold.

And I've heard this particular fuel can be derived from biomass. You did good.
-------------------- One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my
little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out
warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down."
He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty
good joke.
I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty
late.

Oh yeah. I've made my own biodiesel before from soybean oil but that was when I owned the gasoline car. There are a few suppliers of biodiesel blends around here that I will definitely be supporting. Even though it's usually only B2 or B20 every little bit helps grow the market.
There's also a few co-ops around that will give you a greatly discounted price on their biodiesel if you volunteer for a few hours a week. They collect WVO from restaurants around their areas.
