 Greenbrier Middle teacher suspended after cited for drug possession

A Greenbrier Middle School teacher is currently suspended without pay pending investigation after being cited for criminal trespassing and possessing marijuana last week, Director of Schools Dan Whitlow said.
A Robertson County Sheriff’s deputy encountered the teacher, Marcella Lynn Hollandsworth, 28, of Madison, while investigating a vehicle suspiciously parked in Wartrace Cemetery.
Hollandsworth and the vehicle’s driver, Cole Allen Craft, 23, of Greenbrier, authorized a search of the vehicle, which revealed a small bag of marijuana, two pipes and drug paraphernalia, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The teacher, who has worked at Greenbrier Middle for the past five years, allegedly admitted the possessing the drugs, pipes and paraphernalia and told the deputy that she only smokes marijuana when she gets upset and needs to relax, according to the report.
Hollandsworth was cited for criminal trespassing, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Craft was cited for criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Their court date is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 in General Sessions Court.
