 continuation of text formatting into signature line

I never knew that this happened before, but it seems that text formatting codes, if not closed right, can extend their effect onto a users signature
i noticed it on the underlining on my post here

although i might underline my sig anyways as it looks a lot more interesting when its underlined

That's correct, since we don't validate the HTML in a post the solution is to close the tag properly.

yeah, I made a few edits to the post, and accidentally erased it. I never noticed it before, and was wondering it it was a glitch.
