Shitake oyster?

Yep my shitake turned into an oyster.

This is my first shitake grow, and this weird formation has me wondering if its even a shiitake??

The block is brown like every other Ive seen.

But these weird flaps are just throwing me off....and the stem is on the back of the mushroom sorta like an oyster.

this isn't a poisonous mushroom is it?

Nope, just a regular shiitake. Block grown shiitake are often malformed on the first flush for some reason. Maybe the substrate is too rich initially.
