how much myco bag for monotub

and what substrate for mycobags work well for colinizing tubs?

hmm. how big is the monotub?

hpoo is a great bulk substrate
coca coir works well too (especially with added nutrients)

2 pints of spawn medium per 1 lb of substrate is a great quick colonizing ratio.

so follow that, and you'll be fine.

your monotub should probably hold 2-3lbs of manure/coir, and then the 4-6 pints of spawn.

that's for a ten gallon tub.
maybe more if you are confident in deeper substrate levels.

coco coir is great if you add some stuff, like some verm, and some malt/dex to spice it up. Maybe even some gypsum and such.

coir isn't the BEST bulk substrate, but works if you can't get your hands on better.
