PLEASE VIEW THIS THREAD IF YOU HAVE A T. PERUVIANUS (T. cuzcoensis )
    #7304769 - 08/17/07 11:20 AM (4 years, 9 months ago)

Ya your right...Let's get 10 confirmed people who are willing to give their actual names (I'll give mine) so BBB can look at their records and we have true hard evidence...

I'll demand they give the 10 people refunds for their t. cuz. (false peruvianus)...and post an apologise to the Entheogenic community on their website and discontinue selling of T. cuz as T. peru.....

If they do not do this I will join as many Entheogenic forums as possible and inform every entheogenic website I can about BBB and other vendors...

Could the mod's start some kinda perpetual thread about incorrect botanical identification by vendors so that N00bs do not continue to buy their B.S.?

Besides confusion and bad/wrong genetics are being spread by this.... when the noobs who bought from the bad vendors begin to sell their t. cuz and peruvianus and fake mimosa h.....

I want the entheogenic community of tomorrow have peruvianus as strong as peyote....

kybish said-"I just got off the phone with bouncing bear botanicals

they said there isn't a sure way to tell if you have peruvian torch or Cuzcoensis. They "believe" that their cactus is peruvian torch.

Is there any sure way to tell what kind of cactus i have?

Also I'd take note that whom I was speaking to wasn't very clear, and didn't seem confident in what he was saying. He also said that I should speak with "trout" and that he could call me back if i so wish."

And help would be GREATLY appreciated...This is for the good of the entheogenic community....please contribute....
Have you obtained a T. peruvanius which you now believe to of the wrong species?
You may choose only one
Yes, It does not seem to be T. peruvanius
No, It's T. peruvanius

Here's pictures of my Peruvian Torches. I didn't get them from BBB and I'm pretty sure they are the right kind. How can you tell if its not a Peruvianus?? I believe they are ID'd correctly but if not, someone please let me know. If anything we should start a picture thread so that people can compare what they have.

These 2 pots are both the same cactus purchased in winter 04. One is the mother and the single branch is a cutting taken from it.

This cactus was purchased from the same place in spring 06. Its been stressed a little so the spines don't look the same, but it used to look just like the above cacti.

I haven't tried either of these yet so I don't know if they are active or not. I bought them from T.B.S.

What I am "hoping" is peruvian, but from the looks of it, isn't.
This cactus is from Bouncing Bear botanicals, and yes I called them about it. Still waiting to here back from an email asking them to explain themselves.

Note- If you gave your real name.... I would only be giving names to BBB so they can confirm you actually bought a cactus from them...I would NOT post it on the shroomery or give it to any other site/person...

ok why won't my picture show up?

Here's link's to what I believe T. peruvianus to look like...If yours doesn't look like these it's probably not a T. peruvianus....

Does anybody disagree with me?

its grown indoors and is about a year and a half. it it were in full sun it would be blue and fatter and some spines would be longer but note the color of them. I will get another pic tonight of it under flouro lighting though so you can see the truer color.

genetic variation from seed and growing conditions can make it look different than others of the same genetics grown in different conditions.

PM me for info on where to get the real deal... eventually I'm going to have a genetic strain which that will hopefully rival peyote...I have sent out countless emails looking for the TRUE T. peruvianus...The one most scared to the shamans in the Andes...

I also intend to own live Diplopterys c. plants...they are supposed to arrive soon but it looks doubtful...:(

One day I will have both if I must fly to South America myself...

The peruvanius should be soon...

PM me
