If someone could tell you the exact date, time, and cause of your death, and you couldn't do anything to change it, would you want to know?

Sure I would... I could spend my money better knowing the exact date and time I'd no longer need any.

I thought about this the other night and almost cried. If I hadn't been around some friends at the time, I probably would've broken down and released a lot of stress/frustration. But I was leaning to 51% no, 49% yes.

I'd like to know, I could prepare for the death better and I could spend my last moments the way I want to. Say farewell to friends etc.

Of course YES.
This reminds me of some movie with Indians in it. A chief saw his place of death in his dreams and he was mortally wounded at that same place later in his life in a real battle. He reflects, right before he dies, that if he knew the dream was showing him the place where he would die, he could have been a greater warrior while he lived.
My reasoning for wanting to know when I die is like that of the Indian chief.

Hell no. I would think about it every waking second.
-------------------- One day Ananda, who had been thinking deeply about things for a while, turned to the Buddha and exclaimed, "Lord, I've been thinking - spiritual friendship is at least half of the spiritual life!"
The Buddha replied: "Say not so, Ananda, say not so. Spiritual friendship is the whole of the spiritual life!"

I'd generally be curious about the info of death. It wouldnt bother me not being able to avoid it because as they say. When it's your time, its just your time.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. -- `Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' -- Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.
~ R.W. Emerson, "Self-Reliance"
